4 Quick Apply Full-time 2 hours ago Full Job Description LandSouth Construction is a leading general contractor specializing in the full construction process of multifamily developments.
We are currently seeking to add an Assistant Superintendent to a garden-style apartment development that will feature 19, two-story buildings in Clermont, FL.
As the Assistant Superintendent, you will directly support the Project Superintendent in managing the day-to-day onsite operations and workflow to ensure the project is delivered within budget and on schedule.
You will be responsible for monitoring job site safety, progress, efficiency, workmanship, adherence to plans, and quality.
What You'll Do Supervise subcontractors and vendors on worksites to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and schedule and provide frequent project updates to the Superintendent.
Walk the units to monitor progress, safety, efficiency, workmanship, adherence to plans, and material quality.
Monitor that the project is being built according to plans and specifications, regulations, standards, and Owner expectations.
Perform site inspections and walk with third-party inspectors to assess the quality of workmanship and materials.
Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
Serve as a safety advocate by promoting and enforcing safety policies and procedures.
Proactively identify and strategically solve problems with minimal executive oversight.
Perform project documentation tasks including maintaining plans, files, reports, change orders, manuals, chargeback records, schedules, permits, code requirements, approvals, inspection records, meeting notes, and forms.
Assist the Superintendent in organizing the site to promote maximum productivity.
Manage the punch list process and participate in project turnover.
What We're Looking For A minimum of two years of related construction experience.
Multifamily/production homebuilding experience is highly preferred.
Procore experience is highly preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent.
